How to change a nappy

Don't be ashamed to admit that you've never changed a baby's nappy before and need a crash course...  

This short and simple video shows how to change a disposable nappy. 

N.B. Wet wipes can be used in place of the cotton wool if you prefer. Creams can be applied but are not necessary if the nappy is changed often and the skin allowed to breathe between changes.

A lot of baby related products now on the market are not necessary. Think back to when your parents or grandparents were babies. Most of the 'must have' items used today didn't exist back then and they did just fine.

I personally opted for disposable nappies. Although they cost more, they involve less time and effort than the cloth ones. When I was pregnant I liked the idea of using the cloth ones (more planet friendly, cheaper, etc...) but when the reality of actually having the baby hit home I realised that they weren't for me.
