I love summer and both the kids and us grown ups enjoy a day out at the beach. We build sand castles and other sand art, play in the sea and other beach games with a ball or Frisbee. The fresh, sea air does a great job of tiring us all out and a good nights sleep always follows.

The benefits of spending time at the beach are numerous but it's important to make sure your prepared in order to enjoy it risk free.
Here's a few tips:
- Keep small children in the shade as much as possible.
- Avoid exposure to the sun during the 'at risk' hours (from 10am to 4pm).
- Always use sun cream.
- Wet the head often and cool off the whole body by playing in the sea.
- Dress in light colours that reflex the suns rays.
- Drink lots and snack on fruit to stay hydrated.
